About Us

The aim of the Hantken Miksa Foundation is to promote the creation, dissemination and practical application of new paleontological scientific research results, to improve and modernize the conditions of domestic paleontological education at the university level by incorporating the newest research results into the curriculum and by directly incorporating the knowledge accumulated in practice into education.

Miksa Hantken was a famous Hungarian palaeontologist/geologist, the founder of the Palaeontological Department of the Eötvös Loránd University and the first director of the Geological Institute of Hungary.
